I believe the hair is human hair and the head is some type of animal skin crafted to look human.

I remember watching a TV show that had something about shrunken heads (real ones), and one of them had red hair and a mustache, and a very "French" look about it.

The skin is from a pig and the hair is from a horse. There are some variations on the skin but the hair is generally horse mane.

I know its not a human shrunken head, it's probally made of goat skin and maybe horse hair either way it's a cool find and goes well with my shrunken head art work.
