It's looks like possibly shredded gold foil flakes (like the kind in Goldschlager), dramatic in appearance yet very lightweight, IMHO not worth destroying to recover. I do see a couple specks of green in it though??? very cool doorknob! 8-)

I know you've been asking everyone for a value.. I can't say other then it's worth what you paid for it.. unless you paid to much.. Thou if this was real gold solid pieces in a milky sphere of white Quartz etc.. I'd take it off your hands.. and only then would I quote a price.. But apparently it's a resin based sphere.

Didn't pay a thing for it or the 2 sets I have came out of an old house I flipped a few years back.
I'm more curious to know the history or who made them and the info on it more so.
I'm in all why someone would do such but if it is real gold, that's pretty cool.
Just love to find out details, backround, history or any info on these handles I have. The
House was a bank owned property that I got
It out of. Tried my sources there.
So any info or direction would be greatly helpful. Thanks to all for the replies and post.

Yeah, I found that too but since there was no additional info I didn't bother posting it. I hate worthopedia. They offer a free trial but then want your credit card info., not happening.

Any thoughts on this!!

These door handles were made by Weiser Lock. I have the exact same two in my store right now in the original packaging. The retail price on them at the time, was $25.49. The actual product number was GA 300 G description on the box is Glass Knob bedroom lock. Hope this helps. We have them for sale at $40

Wasn't long ago I saw what appeared those exact same door knobs for sale in individual boxes. Don't remember the mfg but they were priced at $39.99 each. Sure looked like gold to me. Who ever ID'ed them as gold flakes in resin was probably right. Sure was an eye catcher.
