Sterling Silver Cigarette Case

Found this at a garage sale for $1. Did not realize it was silver until I came back. So a few questions...

1. Is it really silver? I can't believe I am that lucky

2. Can anyone make out the hallmark maker?

Yes it's silver and it was made in the 1930-1940 time period. Had one just like it, but sold it years ago. Article is worth more as a collectible than as just sterling...

That's not necessarily true austin ... I sold a NOS Even's cigarette case and lighter combo in art deco design for that period . And although it wasn't Sterling it was perfect and in the original box . I did make a nice chunk of change but know where near the price of 5 1/2 oz. of silver . Maybe if it was pristine it would but it's not . I'd list it just for kick's but also set the reserve at current silver value so either way it'll make a nice stash of cash . Woodstock
