I got this one back in May for $5.00
My daughter is getting married Aug 29th and she wanted it to be in her wedding if I fixed it up a little (no air conditioning in the wedding hall ). So I did . I let the Bride-To- Be pick the colors .
It was a challenge taking this Vornado apart and then putting it back together .

She and her future hubby came by today to see the final restoration - They gave me a big Hug !

Thanks Shelbe
The hardest part was getting the darn blade off the shaft - took about 3 hours - I used various sized hardwood wedges - gently prying . Plus penetrating oil .

It kind of looks like the prop on my 25 hp Evinrude !

I just love it when people restore and make old things new again. As my grandfather used to say" They never make things now like they use to in the old days". Thank you for bringing the past back to new life:hello2:

Your restoration looks really good. You have made a good old piece into something that will last for years. Did you have to do any electrical work on it?

I snipped 2 wires so I could bring the motor to my friends shop , he has an air compressor , I used it to blast the dust out of it . I think the fan was once used by sheet rockers . I took a picture of the wires before snipping , so I wouldn't make a mistake re-hooking them up .
