Ok, got a bunch of items for $70. Included were 6 Gorham new morden hollow handle sterling knives. They are Fairfax pattern and 9 1/8 inches long. There is not enough silver in the handles to scrap and they are good enough to sell as used. How good of a brand name is Gorham? I have not found enough price points to figure out how much for each one. What would you sell for? I also got more sterling items included in the $70 price.

Gorham is a well known silver manufacturer.

It is easy to date since their marks are well known. If you look at companies that supply replacement pieces you will be able to determine their retail value.

I did on replacements.com and they are asking $49.99 a knife. Does that even make sense? I don't have enough experience to know if I hit a home run or a single.

Replacements.com prices are what I consider high retail. Gorham is a better manufacturer but that's not what I would consider an elaborate pattern, which are the ones that seem to sell best. Your best bet is to do an ebay search for completed items to get an idea of value.

Is there a Monogram on either side? How quickly do you want to sell them?

If there is no monogram , I would just list them with a Buy it now

You be sure you have the cheapest Buy it now price.
Right now the lowest BIN price is 34 with free shipping for each knife

However, It may take some time to sell them.

You will probably have to sit on them for a little bit

I am not so worried about price since I got six sterling 4 inch demitasse spoons and 1 sterling curved handle baby spoon with the knives for $70. Those spoons are about 75 grams of sterling. But I was not sure if I hit a grand slam and was about to undersell them.

You did good on the knives. Gorham is a good name in silver. I wouldn't take any less than $20-$30 each myself, sold separately. I'd do the 6 for $99.99. Here's all the price points you need- gorham fairfax knives | eBay

Thank you so much! I already have a bid for the master hollow handle butter knife of $34.95!

Big names like Gorham and Towel will have more silver in the hollow knives than a generic brand. Big name hollow silver knives can have as much as half an ounce of silver in them.

Keep @ it and HH !! :hello2:

I had a beautiful ring for my wife made out of a Sterling baby spoon that I found. It is really cool with an opal stone on the top and she loves it.
