I didn't know if I should post this here or in the dumpster diving forum. It will get more clicks here.

I had to take my car into the shop this Saturday (no yardsales) and walked home. (sorry guys & gals the weather was middle 70's) About a block from home is a strip mall with a Tropical Fish Store on the end unit. Since I was walking I got a better look down the back alley. Next to their dumpster was a pile (at least 4' x 4' x 5') of unbroken styrofoam boxes and lids. I guess all the fish get sent in this type of container. I quickly (it is daytime) grabbed 6 lids and went home. By the size of the pile it has been building up for quite some time.

The boxes looked to be 16 x 16 x 16 and 1" thick. That is a lot of packing material what you need to ship something fragile. and it is free.

And NO, the first thing I did was sniff the lids, they do not smell fishy.
