Huber Copper Vase

So, I was at an estate sale. Nothing special but saw a cooper vase that looked Ok so I bought it.

I then did a quick eBay search and saw the exact one as a pair.

I went back to see if there was another one. There was not. An internet search turns up a couple other examples of the case but different sizes.

Mine has one bent scroll foot on each side. Any idea on a fair price?

Forgot to check sold listings. Price sound good to me. Lady running estate sale seemed to think it was odd that I wanted it.

The one that is sold looks to have been cleaned and washed with something to give it a patina. The biggest issue with your's seems to be the dings on the scrolled base.

Yeah, I figure the dings will take away from the value. I know the golden rule is don't clean. I'm assuming I should leave it as is?

I think that golden rule only applies to coins and antiques. Although not sure how old it is, I would try to get the green off. I would think it would bring the value up more?

Do not clean or remove the green!! If you're going to sell it leave that up to the next owner. Removing the green will most likely remove or damage the rest of the even patina on the piece, and you don't want to do that.

Nice arts and crafts era vase. You can probably straighten out the scrolled foot though without harming anything too. Looks like an easy fix.

Thanks for all the advice. I typically try not to touch pieces. However, I wiped it down with a damp rang and the green spots came right off. There are marks where the green spots were but that is OK.

Also, I was able to use kneedle nose pliers to greatly improve the feet.
