I don't know anything about this kind of stuff so I'm going to have to do some research before any of that gets listed. It looks like the two and five dollar bill I definitely worth the most. Any help is appreciative. I did not buy them though I'm selling them for him. I don't have any cash right now for anymore this stuff at the moment. There was also a couple three cent pieces and only some buffalo nickels. He has maybe 25 rolls of pennies also and they are all mix wheat and regular cents. He said he was going to take them to the bank and I told him I give them a dollar a roll. If you wanted to sell them I would gladly go through them. Especially after what kind of coins I've seen in these two boxes it would probably be worth it!

Go back and get everything else this guy has for sale, when you get the money to, of course. The first bill is an 1869 One dollar note, and is worth about $300+ in that condition. I wish I was in the position to buy all this stuff as you are.

That's awesome. I thought it was a 1917. It's a star note too

Yeah I really have no experience with this stuff. Last time I bought one for $30. Thought it was the greatest deal in the world, took it to the coin store and it was fake. So I strayed away from it. But I'm selling these on consignment so far as I know they are real.

If your serious, I may have one in a week or more, waiting to hear back from the lady, but Supposedly it's a big collection of silver coins. No promises though, they seem to fall through more then they happen.

I'm always in the mood for a little road trip to the west coast. I was there a couple weeks ago doing a job at the Gulf Coast Town Center Marshall's.

The first bill is commonly called the 'Rainbow Note". It is a 'large size', Series of 1869 Legal Tender Note--as "TypeCoin' referenced above. Less than 800 of these notes had been recorded as of about 2010. A 2008 catalog reflects values from $275 (VG-8) up to $4,000 in Unc.-63; a great bill, for sure !!

The next two bills have the popular name of "Black Eagle Note", with the vignette officially know as "Eagle of the Capitol". Lincoln and Grant are the in the portraits. To get a better ID of these bills the signatures need to be known. At least eleven combinations of signatures are known on these bills. Most of them range in value from $125 (VG) to $650 in Unc.-63. The bill of highest value in this series has the signatures of Vernon and McClung, wherein the date is to the right of the seal.
Good luck,
Don.....

The Series of 1923 Silver Cert. appears to have the signatures of Speelman and White. Values are between $45 (F-12) and $175 in Unc-63. Star replacement notes for this bill would increase the value by about 2X.

Your "Battleship Note" was issued in New York; one of 12 issuing locations for this bill. The signatures would be Teehee and Burke or Elliott and Burke. Value for both varieties are the same; namely, $350 in VG-8 up to $2,200 in Unc. 63. Again, I caution these are catalog values from a few years ago. The source is The Official Red Book--A Guide Book of United States Paper Currency; Second Edition; Arthur and Ira Friedberg.

The last bill is a United States Note signed by Woods and White (versus about ten other signature combinations). In F-12 ($200); in Unc.-63 ($900). You've got a great collection there. Add as much as you can, they are all highly collectible and valuable.
