Found this in a tub of toys at Goodwill today for .79 cents. Cap Firing 250 Shot Repeater marked on the other side. Not cracked or broken anywhere. Mechanism works but needs a good oiling. I can't seem to find another like it on the internet anywhere. I plan on keeping this. Should I clean it real good and repaint the simulated wood stock? Clean and leave as is? Your thoughts please...

HH All!

I remember having this as a kid,my brother an I had more fun with this then any other, until we moved up to a 22 and a 410 when I turned 10,nobody ever got hurt and people did not freak out like they would now. Clean it and keep it witch ever way you want, hope you have kids that can play with it,just if you let kids play with it you might evan want to paint it bright hunters orange.People have become a lot of idiots.have fun.

Nice buy. If it was mine and I wanted to keep it - I would clean it up and try to make it look new. Thanks for sharing...

Cool cap gun. I'd wait until you find out more about it. If you find nothing and want to keep, clean it up. Will look great.

Yeah, I was half asleep earlier when I posted that. I couldn[t find any except the camo one. I found an ad for one from 1966 that says it has a wood colored stock and grip. Arizona Republic, Wednesday, December 07, 1966, Page 90 You may have to magnify it to read it.

Thanks for the responses. This gives me at least an age and at .99 cents new I see why there are not many left out there. Or are there? Just got done giving it a good scrub and oiling. Half the paint that was left on it came off but, it was really grungy from little dirty hands out there killing Nazis and Vietcong or whatever. Gonna get some good quality paint and finish it. I will post pics. Thanks again...

I believe it was grey with wood colored stock. I love this.

It's actually a powder blue color with wood colored stock and the more I hold it and look at it makes it more and more one of my favorite finds. It'll find a place on my wall. Glad you appreciate it too...

Yea. Probably their version of a gun-metal grey. Look forward to seeing this restored. I don't believe it would hurt the value.

Wow, nice job on the clean up Frankendime, looks great. Gotta be worth $50 to $100 bucks I would think.
