Well this one was actually two dollars so it may not count here but found it at(of all places) a Goodwill Store. Sitting among newly put out stock right in the middle of the store, on the shelves above all the clothing racks. It really stood out as it sat next to cheezy vases and coffee cups. A Warner's Tippecanoe with misspelled Rocheter NY on the base. I told the clerk what it was AFTER I shelled out all that cash.

$2! Ughh! No way you can post that here. Gonna have to have you drawn and quartered now for breaking the rules! :laughing7: kidding!
Did you know that there are two versions of misspellings with this bottle? Yours, which is spelled ROCHETER and another version that is spelled ROCHESTR. That's a nice find for sure.

Picked up a pair of Ray Bans a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately I had to pay $1 for the glasses & another $1 for the case. Sold a few days ago for $222.

That's a great price for a pair. I don't think any I've sold have made it past $100. I went to a sale last weekend and there were two Ray Ban cases there, but inside each were a pair of cheap aviator style sunglasses.

I'm on a Ray Ban roll. About 6 weeks ago I picked up a pair for $5 that sold for $80 something. I think the pair that sold for $222 was a lot older than the first. They were in pristine condition & marked differently than the 1st pair. Then this weekend I picked up some aviator clip-ons with case for $1.25. I know those don't generally sell for much but I'm fairly certain these are from the 30's-40's so hoping they will do ok. Funny thing is I haven't bought any Ray Bans before this. In the 3 years I've had my eye out for them the only ones I've seen were at an estate sale. There were 5 pairs in cases all priced at $5 each. Unfortunately the lenses were scratched & I put them back down. When I decided I'd buy anyway & came back a few minutes later they were gone.

at that price buy them, scratches or not. I once found a pair of ray ban aviators on the ground when I was biking home from work, it looked like someone had put their head out the window with them on and they had fallen off and hit the pavement at speed. One lens was cracked, the other gone, and the frames were ever so slightly bent. The arms were still ok, so I put them on ebay as "broken, for parts" with a .99 cent start, just for kicks. They sold for $35!

Ivan you just tacked an hour on to my flea market trip this weekend, there's a vendor with a ton of late 1800's-early 1900's uno centavos in his huge bin of junk coins so I'm going to buy them all up. Might just see what he'd want for the bin, I can always sell them off in big junk coin lots on the 'bay.

the 1899 one is the key date one..and you need a buyer -- not collected much in the USA and there is a limited Mexican market..

Okay do you have change for a dollar? I got $.95 back and posted it on eBay tonight for six dollars with free shipping Buy it now and 15 minutes later it's sold! It has been a long time since I heard a nickel for something!

Went to an estate sale yesterday found this crayon box hiding in a cabinet way in the back under some other stuff. I opened it expecting to find pencils and found some packages marked silver. No way of really testing it so I took a chance. I asked the guy how much he said miscellaneous box for a $1.00. When I got home and actually had a chance to look through it and test everything in it to my surprise 888 g of silver and 18.6 g of gold. I got it in my change and sold it for $113.00. Technically did not buy it, but it was still a dollar.
