I bet this pin has something to do with little league baseball. One of the founders of the Mahopac little league was DeLong "Bud" Kellogg and they are the "Indians". A little info on him (just to the right of the headline)- http://fultonhistory.com/newspaper%2010/Carmel%20NY%20Putnam%20Country%20Courier/Carmel%20NY%20Putnam%20Country%20Courier%201961%20Grayscale/Carmel%20NY%20Putnam%20Country%20Courier%201961%20Grayscale%20-%200283.pdf
I thought Bud Kellogg as well, but I couldn't find anything about the "Indian" connection other than the history of the town. The guy I purchased it from said that a lady gave this (and other) pins to him. He had recently passed away. Looked online, he passed away in 2013 and had a sister (or mother?) in law in the Telford area (PA).

Yeah, seems he was living in Naples, Fl. when he passed. The high school nickname for both of the pins you posted is the "Indians", maybe a connection there?

Weird thing - the other pin I pictured (separate post) was from another guy at the same flea market. Makes me wonder if they had an auction I missed.
