Antique hand painted German clock!!

Well I'm turning to the resident experts here on tnet for some guidance once again! Scored this from a very nice lady for 1$ (!) at the same neighborhood as the rollei camera (other post). I forgot about this until I returned from vacation yesterday. It says Germany on it and is clearly hand painted, and IT WORKS!! I very carefully wound it and put on the counter weight and it works like a charm! Any info on this would be greatly appreciated as it has no other markings other than Germany. As a side note it came in a box marked old fancy clock haha! Pics include a water cap for size reference and one with and without the back cover. Thanks on advance for any help!

It is similar to clocks made by the Lux company . They made hundreds of different styles mostly small ones like yours .

Looks like a German Shield clock to me, a tiny one. Predecessors of the cuckoo.

Thanks guys. I could only find slightly similar ones on the bay and google images. Not sure what I'll do with it. Maybe throw it up with maybe a $150 BIN OBO...

I found the same thing but can't find anymore info on it. Yours looks older. Yours also has a porcelain face if i'm not mistaken?
