they made an impression in the lucite and coated it with a silvery substance. it looked exactly real until it was broken open to find air.
one way to find out at the sale. bring your pinpointer and see if it picks up metal.

It's not "galactic acetic acid", it's actually called "glacial acetic acid".

I ended up choosing not to go to this estate sale. Even if the toilet seat is for a good price, I don't want that thing taking up and space when its only value are the same kind of coins that I can purchase anywhere else.

I saw one once. I would have bought it except it was too well used for me. I have had good luck with several other items encased in lucite. The FBI badge ended up going to a private buyer for $250 after ebay pulled it.
