At GW the other day and say a really unique lamp. It appears to be made of solid alabaster with cast brass claw feet. The wire and bulb socket appear generic, but the other fittings seem older. Could anyone confirm it's an older body? Thank you

Markings would have been my first guess, but it's nothing but casting marks.

If the does not have one wide spade, but instead both are narrow the lamp is probably from the 40s or before. However if the lamp has been rewired you'll need to find other clues to its age.
