Instead of starting a new thread I figured I would add my other 2 scores yesterday

Picked up a real nice and heavy 50 gram sterling chain for $6 at the thrift store (keeping this one and wearing it now lol)

Also picked up a soda stream crystal used but in great shape. $2.99. They are selling used for between $45-$120. Started it at $50 last night

Not sure where you live but i am in NJ and they just banned the sale of ivory. My mother has a spot in an antique center and all the dealers were pulling all their ivory items. Unless you sell it privately you will prob just have to hold onto it. Not sure what the restrictions are on the bay or craigslist though.

Wow. First I saw of that ban

I know ebay already bans real ivory sales. But a lot of people get around it by listing it as faux ivory. Unless this piece would bring a huge price I had planned on keeping it

I see you are in NYC Was he's busted there or in jersey? I need to look at pa laws for sure

But have no real intent on selling it. I'm not sure if it's hippo or elephant. The little old guy I bought it from said he had a family
Member get it in Africa in the 1950's. I also got a 1843 large cent in ef condition and a 1853 large cent in au condition for $5 each. From him. :)
