One of my first good finds, this was about 3 months ago at a church garage sale. This guy had been selling these models at flea markets and fairs for a few years. He got out of the business and donated everything he had left to the sale. They were all boxed up and stacked underneath a card table. There was a guy checking out one of the models when I walked up. As soon as I realized what was in the boxes, I asked how much. They weren't really sure, it hadn't been priced yet. I offered $50, and they gladly accepted.

I've just got a few of these left now, I've mostly sold them locally for 30-45 apiece depending on size. These things are really gorgeous and the work is awesome. The guy was importing them from Vietnam. Is it bad that I made damn sure to peel the "Made in Vietnam" stickers off? It didn't seem right to leave them on U.S. warplanes.

It didn't seem right to let people know they were made in Vietnam in sweat shops worked by small children.
