I have a local thrift store on Friday. I noticed a large basket of collector spoons. While I was going through it I noticed all the Sterling ones were missing. I thought it had been gone through already. I then noticed one with .800 marked on the bowl. I went through the pile again and ended up buying 21 items at three for $.99 or $7 total. I ended up with 15 silver spoons Mark 800 900 Sterling or Hallmarked. All had basically Hidden or hard to see marks. First major silver score from a thrift store. By the way that six I got that were not silver. Were marked 90. I learned that that is a plating Mark in Germany and Holland.

Read the topic and was really hoping you got the train from Silverspoons the tv show.

Cool find. I've never once found any silver at a thrift store
