I passed on a starter hat the other day. Well at least now I know what to look for. I keep getting this feeling when I leave thrift stores and yard sales that i missed something. And then when I havr reasonable cause that i missed something, i get that strange wave of unexplainable chest and stomach anxiety. Lol

These hats are made by starter but they don't say starter on them. They only say the game. But just because you find a hat by that maker does not necessarily mean it's worth a couple hundred dollars. I sold this one last night for $110. Paid two so not so bad of a flip.

Luckily today is 55 and older day at the store. They sell a Thone of stuff all day long and then tomorrow they will restock their shelves. So I will be there at least two times tomorrow

Which thrift stores do you visit in your area? We only have, within 10 miles, salvation army and a church thrift called liberty. 95% of the good stuff i find for resale is found at yardsales.

Disregard. Starter hats worth a lot too! In good condition.

Picked these out today from the thrift. $1.50 total. I remembered monster hats selling well, so I brought it home to do some research. I'm not sure what brand that is, what the little symbol logo on the back represents. I'm from Philadelphia area, about an 30min north, so if the Eagles hat doesn't sell at least I'll have a gift for someone locally. Or i guess I could wear it, but i'm not a hat guy. It is kind of snazzy though, seems vintage enough, not sure what year it's from. the monster hats all black on the back half. sort of odd, kind of ugly. haha

I bought some more today to a lot of them were a dollar. All vintage stuff except for a couple but figured why not.

I would have bought six more but my wife called last minute as my kids are getting off the bus and said she wasn't going to make it home in time to get them. I figured she was already home so I had to drive like a rocket ship in order to get there to pick them up. So I left everything at the store kind of hidden out-of-the-way and somebody else found them and brought them to New York Yankee ones and a Cowboys starter hat.

I had a similar Redskins hat. Vintage corduroy. Didn't look as nice as yours and I think I got at least $20 for it. Paid $1.
Yours may get more

You definitely got into an excellent collection!

I think I found a few good ones the other day. The Nebraska hat is a The Game hat. I paid $1.99 each for them at Goodwill. I threw them all up on ebay, with the Nascar and Patriots hats as pairs for $19.99, and the Nebraska by itself for $19.99, so we'll see what happens.

I've walked right by hats countless times. Time to start paying attention. The numbers are staggering!

My local thrift store is now pricing all their hats at 4.99 to 7.99. Used to be 1.99 or less

Oh crap well let's stop this thread and start bashing hats and say how much they suck! But I'm sure after they sit there for six months will probably get the idea! Of course I did just buy three today and I paid $15. But I will get that back off at one of them. The guy at the cash register was not too thrilled though when I had to Yankees hat and a Red Sox hat and he was wearing a Yankees hat as well. I should try to buy it from his head! Lol. I bought a vintage 1970s one also for a dollar today so I can't complain it should sell for about $17ish

Hi all. Happy Marine Corps Birthday to my fellow Devil Dogs! Thanks to this thread, I've had my eye out for baseball caps at the thrift store. I found this unusual vintage Starter cap today. I've never seen one like this, so I'm hoping someone may suggest a few keywords to use in my Ebay listing. Take a look and tell me what you think. Sort of a baseball cap/visor hybrid. Its in good condition with a few marks on the bill, but the upper portion is clean, and the bill itself is straight. Thanks!

I got one today also. Phoenix Cardinals. Now the St. Louis Cardinals. It was $1.99. One exactly like it sold for $149. There's another one I'm watching that's on auction right now.
