HELP Identifying Old Cabinet 1800s??

Yep... tis an oldie.
Looks like someone either cleaned or replaced the lock.
Probably cleaned.
Partial restore perhaps.

That throw bolt says it all...
Sweeeeet piece !

This is really hard to load your pics and rez is off... On one I only received half the pic.

Try a few in smaller kb and shoot the back and feet.

Spent some time in Greenville/Spartanburg for a bit...
Did great pickin in Pickins S.C.
LOVE Charleston.

It looks kind of old except I don't see any wear signs . The ring pull area should show a lot of contact around them from oils and finger nails, the key hole looks unmarked. The corners of the legs are crisp and sharp. Just my observations from the pictures. Still neat looking.

I agree especially about the lack of wear on the legs. If the wood on the top/back didn't look old I'd still be saying repop. Based on the pictures I can't tell 100% either way.

I applied oil to restore the dry and brittle wood which might explain the "new finish" noted in the pictures. Regardless of its origins, didn't buy it as an investment...just a cool garage sale find .
