I've sold some similar but different red handled bakelite. Brace yourself for all the low ball offers coming your way.

What did you get for them? I have no idea what to list them for.

I had ice teaspoons. The odd pieces command more money. Red is usually more than the ivory color. I think mine were in the high twenties but I didn't have a whole set. I think I had four. I think the lowball overs are going to people who have an antique mall because not that many people are online searching for bakelite fish sets. I'll pm you.

How much did you give for those? It does look like the bands on them could be sterling? Do you see any small French hallmarks on that part? I can't tell what those handles are made of.

$10 for the set. Of course it was the box (of all things) that caught my attention. I don't see any hallmarks - just the MADE IN FRANCE.

I think they are celluloid handles. That cracking is a more typical characteristic of old celluloid versus bakelite. I have dozens of pieces of bakelite kitchen utensils and flatware. Even on the damaged pieces I don't see any resembling the finish on yours.
