One of them would be really good if it wasn't so badly worn. But it is the game brand with the glued on sticker I've tried to clean it but it's pretty bad on the inside. Auburn University what a shame.

They were all $.50 apiece. The Chicago Bulls one looks like it will be pretty good it's in pretty good shape and it cleaned up really well.

And then this projector was $10. Because the glass on the inside was cracked. I called the company and they retail for $500. And then this is the nicer version that they make. they said I could get the glass cut at any store that cuts glass or Home Depot and she gave me the measurements. So I got two pieces of glass cut for it for $10! Works fine came with the instructions can't really beat that for $10.

Everything was at a community sale today that I was not going to go to because I've never had good luck at their place before. I got some silver as well but it's put away already nothing special couple rings for $10 total.

Ha, thanks! Now to get them online instead of putting them in a pile with the other 40 I have...

if you ever need to get rid of em in bulk you know who to talk to! I'm always buying vintage hats. Out of the ones you got I think the Auburn (obviously), Bulls, and the winchester will all do well. Dolphins stuff moves slowly but it goes eventually. I've actually had a hard time moving syracuse stuff but it looks like yours is an old Nike hat so that will help value wise.

I just wanted to thank you for this post. I've started checking for vintage mesh snap backs. If they are cheap, then I buy them. Recently found a Lucky Stripe CHICAGO (da) BEARS hat for $1.49 and listed it for $100. (sorry, couldn't resist - just watched the SNL special).

Cool hats. Do they sell well?

A couple months ago I had one exactly like what I posted of the auburn one but it was Miami hurricanes. I sold it as soon as it listed for $45. I had six offers of $350 up to $450 for that hat. I decided not to retract the order because I sold it not knowing was worth that much. But from now on I will always auction them if I find them because I'm not doing that mistake twice! That was probably exception but there has been a couple other people since that post that have sold a couple for a few hundred dollars if I remember correctly! I started the Auburn one at .99 cents. Which is two times what I paid for it. But it isn't really rough condition so I don't have very many expectations for it but we will see.

Started taking pictures of my hat pile tonight. 78 pics so far, listed 1. Lol. Hope to do more tomorrow but not all of them are vintage but they all need to go.

Only have to take pics of 25 more. But I'm going to spend the next couple months focusing on my stuff and save the jewelry for another time because I have to get some space cleared up. My parents are planning on coming down here in two months and as of right now there's nowhere for them to sleep!

2 more today for $5! The Bears one looks like they go around $50-$80. I didn't see any on the Philadelphia All-Star one. The Bears is sports specialties from the 1980s. The other one is starter with the original tag still just a little dusty.

For those of you who have sold sports caps on Ebay, how did you ship them? In a box, padded envelope, or something else?

I use a 10x6x4 box. I ordered them off uline. And folded the backside of the hat in towards the rim and put it inside of a plastic bag from the grocery store. Seems to work fine have not had any complaints yet.

Thanks for the tip. In general, is there enough interest in caps on Ebay to list in auction format or is it better to use Buy It Now? Obviously that will vary depending on the cap but I have 5 nice Yankee caps, some wool blend, 1 which is from 2003 World Series ... now that I think about that one may not be popular since the Yankees didn't win. I assume they are all from that time period plus or minus a couple of years.

I'm done good with buy it now Obo however I sold a $450 at for $45. I think that one was pretty rare however I wish I would've auctioned it. I'm not really sure it was something at self away more other then the fancy looking starter and the game hats. I had one other one sell for over $100 and that was a Toronto raptors. Everything else is been like that $20 range down to $10. All I can suggest is check completed listings by the name brand and try to see what other ones have sold for and go from there.
