This was the other find today. The guy said they are really old there in the original box which is in horrible condition but for 25 bucks I wasn't going to pass them up. I'm headed to a jeweler friend of mine now to see what he thinks about these as well. There are 12 of them though.

So that was my morning done by 845. I also bought a bunch of Gucci wallets from the same guy they're all marked Italy and I have sterling silver corners on them. from the 1980s in excellent condition. He said he retired from Gucci. He had a lot more but I picked out all the ones that I had no marks on them.

I'd say they are bone handled versus ivory from the looks of them. The marks look French maybe. Not sure on what type of forks they are yet.

The guy said maybe shrimp forks but they don't look like it. I'm not 100% sure on that either.

There is a auction house here in Florida that I just checked out. They charge 20% and they auction worldwide. I consigned the forks with them. Figured why not give him a shot I can't sell Ivory on eBay anyways. So it auctions March 15 so we'll see how goes!

I'm interested to know how long it takes before you get paid. It took almost 2 months using Kodner Galleries over here, and they charged 30% on a $5k item. Not me personally but a friend of mine several years ago.

They said 2 months. But I guess that's fine I'll probably forget anyways! I can tell if eBay so... Well see.

Update: they sold at auction for $120.... They take 20%. Oh well. Glad I made something! Paid $25 for them. I have some 24k ivory bangles there for this month.
