There was....but didnt seem to be anything legible....not even sure if its a mark or just an imperfection

The head is too large for it to be one of those hairless cats. If it has a white ceramic bottom, I'd say it's from a "hobby mold". The glaze job doesn't look too professionally done up close when enlarged.

I think ceramic. ...but the bottom is black also....it has streaks in it not like clay...I dunno lol
