Starting bid .99 cents. Say they have been untested and your selling them as it is. I mean you don't want to waist $.75! $3.50 shipping. I would just take pictures of the front and the back the bottom and then the sleeve on the inside you should be alright.

I buy every Zippo I can simply due to the fact the folks at Zippo will repair them at no charge, forever.
They refurbish it and will give you a little card to help determine the age of the lighter. Just go to their
website for the address and such. I never sell them...I just like to pick up a lighter for next to nothing
and send off for free repair.I probably have a half a dozen by now...

I have sold my Zippos lighter for $20 and up. Remember they have a life time warrenty on them. At .25 each I would buy all I could find.

The scrolled one is a Marlboro Storm Zippo.

When they repair them, they usually put a new insert in them. They send both back, so if you ever sell an older one, you want to put the original insert back into it.

I listed one yesterday for $20, it sold in literally 5 minutes. I guess I should have put a higher price on it. Only cost me a buck though and it wasn't old. It was a Smoking Marlboro Man black matte from the early 90's.

Found an old Zippo in a junk box at an auction. In another box, an old wheat penny in a bezel with the inscription: "A cent never spent to repair a Zippo lighter". The penny is 1957, neat find. (Cost $2)

Thanks for the info/input guys
Great stories

I wonder if they would refinish that small zippos that has all the finish worn off?
I kinda doubt it lol

Another Zippo story.... I found this Zippo display case for $10....

When I plugged it in, it lights up and rotates. The case door was locked closed with no key, but in a coffee can of old keys I bought a year before I found one that smoothly opens the lock...

So far every zippo I have sent in They did nothing to the case.

They pull out the Guts. Put a New one in, & send it along with the old guts Back.
I have dug a few Zippos with the Lids Broken off.

When I send them in They mail them Back With a Brand New Zippo included.

They really do not "Repair" or Refurbish.
they replace the defective part

How do you send it? About how much does postage/shipping cost to return one? Do ever send in more than one at a time?

Thanks,
Bill

I thought you could only send one at a time.

But their repair form looks like I may be wrong

You can write them for a Mailer, Or make your own.

I use Padded Envelopes with no issues.

either way Postage is your Responsibility , so there statement about it not costing even a penny is exaggerated.

sorry I don't remember cost of postage.
Postage prices have risin probably 10% since I sent the last one in anyway.

But they have an Old Lady Sweat shop there & the Old ladies sit & repair Zippos all day :laughing7: You can even go watch them through the widow

The last Zippo I got I sold for over $400 so I would not be sending them in for refurb without some due diligence. (1962, new in box, with south vietnamese unit insignia)
