10k and sterling antique thingy...help!

So my estate sale hook up came through again today and this place was loaded with good stuff. I have never seen one of these and could use some help. Strong positive for sterling and solid positive for 10k around the top piece.

Any help would be appreciated!

My guess... woman's "shoehorn"

It could be a caviar spoon, that's the only thing I know of that is traditionally made with a MOP bowl. What is the total length? I don't think it would last too long as a shoehorn, ladies or not.

I second the caviar spoon. I Googled images for antique caviar spoon, and it fits the pattern. These spoons come in all shapes and sizes. Very interesting find. Caley

Caviar spoon for sure. I would think it would be marked Sterling. The gold piece could have been added after the fact and could have been as a presentation but most likely would've been engraved.

When first looked this mornnn half asleep... it looked bigger for some reason... but comparing to finger now have sense of size.

Thanks for all the info guys I knew you folks would ID this quick. There are no markings but strong acid test on both Sterling and 10 karat gold. And what material with the head of the caviar knife be made of? This came from an incredibly high end estate sale that I went to yesterday.
