Hello Tnet junkies...

Hers another one of my periodical cries for help on items outside my realm of expertise.

I was very lucky to be the first one in at my estate sale connections latest sale. The people were liquidating 3 generations of family heirlooms. Luckily they kept most items still in the box!!

I left alot there but hope to go back...I did snag this right away and could use some help.

I did research enough to know that it is a 1923 Bruyere pipe mode 151. Unfortunately the early Dunhill box does not match the pipe apparently. It is possible I left the original pipe there as there were some loose pips I didn't snag.

Anyways would love to know if selling as is in the apparently incorrect box is wise or sell them separately?

Also any idea of value? I have it set to go on a .99 auction starting tomorrow night with box included.

Thanks in advance! ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1452969963.482907.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1452969979.399142.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1452970010.683804.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1452970030.935361.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1452973131.786634.jpg

Go back and see if you can find the right pipe. That would most likely fetch more money. Nice box for its age.

I'm always looking for English & Danish pipes of good names. Dunhill is at the top of the list. I've made killer profit on the few I've found. Hopefully you can run the correct pipe for the box down. I would think a box alone would have value if you fail to find the pipe.

Sold them all.
Good find.

I’ve done very well with Pipes. Lots of interest. Bought a “Dunhill” a few years back for 25 cents and sold it for $475 via auction. Generally I’ll buy them if they’re cheap and research later. Keep an eye out for them, also look for display storage holders.

Thanks for the info guys I pulled the listing in hopes of going back to find the original pipe… If I don't find it do you think I should sell the box and pipe separately? Or together? Also I found a Ben Wade In the box and appears all original… This one also is likely from the 20s or 30s
