Here's a cross section of some things I found this weekend. The $20 military helmet has leather suspension in it where others that look new all have nylon webbing. Some that look a bit like this one are listed as "Kelvar", but this one is steel. What kind of helmet is it?

The Corn sheller came with free "demo" corn and an old wooden box. May wind up with some Pot-belly squirrels before putting it in our garage sale.

The tools are assorted. The $18 for the large Sorby Try Square was something I wanted for my own shop tools, though a bit high....

The old glass battery was something found in the 3r day and 75% off closing of a local antique store. It has "Philco" stamped on both connecting bars. I haven't found any info about it as I'd like to find some battery caps to screw into each 2v cell. It weighs a bit over 21 pounds, but I haven't seen one like this before. Since I'm starting my solar panel array, just for grins, along with three large and heavy brass electric gauges that measure "Volts", "Amps", and " Frequency Cycles", I'm going to display them as if they are working on a wall in my deep cycle battery storage room....

Any info/stories you have on these will be appreciated,

Bill

Swiss Army Helmet, if that is what you are looking for.

Any idea why it's over here? When was this type used?

Thanks!
Bill

Two reasons I can think of. 1. Some US Military person brought it back from being stationed in Europe. 2. Lot of Foreign Military train in the states and it was left here, either lost it or traded it. When it was used, don't know but the Camoflauge cover looks new. But that really does not mean anything,

Thanks, Beans, for your help. I had no idea about it.

I don't find helmets that often, but along with this one, at the first of the month's flea market, I found a WWII helmet with the seam at the back. At the end of April, I found a really rusty WWI Doe Boy helmet.... Guess the old saying about things happening in 3's is right...

Thanks again,
Bill

Corn sheller thing is really cool

What's funny about this thing is that after all the corn is off the cob, it grabs the bare cob and ejects it out the side so it doesn't get mixed in with the shelled corn....
