I havnt posted in awhile as most of My finds have come though my estate sale hookup rather than actual treasure hunting.

I did go to a rural estate sale this AM and scored a very early and complete Aurora slot car set!

I continued to dig and found the original manual in a totally separate part of the house in a box of magazines...score!

The set includes 4 early cars still in their original box! No less than 3 people made me offers on it before I got out the door...about a $200 set for $20...happy days! Had the same set as a kid. I believe I paid $6.99 but it only came with two cars.

Nice! I used to love playing with my brother's set of HO cars.

Always cracks me up when someone walks up wanting to buy something I just bought. ...Like I'm not supposed to know it's worth more than they're offering! :laughing7:

Had one when I was young. Loved it, but donated it to a toy collection for underprivileged kids. Miss it to this day...

Very nice. That came out the year I was born I believe. I think I'd sell the 2 best cars separately. That Charger is worth a bit by itself. The whole thing looks to be in amazing condition.

PS- Just because you have an estate sale "hook up" does not mean it isn't treasure hunting. You're still hunting. Besides, why search for an elusive stray (at a garage sale) when you can have your pick of the litter (at an estate sale)? :laughing7:

Haha I will post more than!

Update on slot cars-

Traded 2 of the cars for a very nice redline camaro (worth $100 conservatively). Still have the set with two cars and all the extra track. Meeting a guy to sell today locally...
