can someone help me with id'ing an older what i think is a womens watch

i am not good with watches picked it up at a yardsale was the only one for .50 cents that didnt look like a cheap peice of crap so i took a chance trying to find out what it is and what its worth. its got the name jean damion on the case and i cant find anything other than its apparently made by the LA Marquee watch company and it looks old i would post a couple pics but i dont know how lol

Well, it looks as if the company was in business from '72-'01, with the Jean Damion trademark lasting from 1982 when filed to 1990 when not renewed and expired. So we know the age is no older than 1982. It may be a rare watch but that doesn't mean that it will be very valuable. Based on the sold prices of other La Marque watches I'd say the value is a modest one. Since I can't find another example of a Jean Damion watch, I'd say it wasn't a very good seller (for whatever reason) hence the non renewel of the trademark.
