Gold Earring Hallmark Help

Found this pair of earrings on Saturday. They weigh over 3 grams and are 14K. I believe the circle hallmark says HMO but it's kind of hard to tell. The black on the earrings appears to be paint or enamel. Any help would be appreciated

My opinion is they are not solid gold. If you look at your close-up with the hallmarks you can see a line a millimeter or two up the post where the plating ends.

I'm pretty sure its 14K. The posts are signed 585 with a DE or LE hallmark. I guess the posts could just be 14K. Its definitely not plated though. The dark spot on it is just some dirt/crud that I didn't have time to clean up.
