Yes they ended it with a not so polite message stating if it was re listed I'd lose selling privileges.

Somehow many many questionable items (even identical ones to yours) get sold on FeeBay regardless. Just put in a key word for verification. Losing battle (no pun) arguing about it with some Ebay phone answer robot from who knows where. Not sure about online sites (sure there are some), but I found a local auction house works.
How you end-up on the list? I think its probably starts with a complaint directed your way, rather than anything logical (like a "key word"). Felt it was total BS! But best I stay out of the politically, morally, historically..

I had a box of contact lenses that got pulled. I searched completed items before I listed them, I found plenty that had sold. I also listed another box at the same time in a different category, that one sold with no problem.

It may be a pin to the German American Bund. It's neat stuff and pretty hard to come by. Lots of topics on the Bund on WAF as well. See here for more on the Bund:

it's dollars and sense...why bother with a tiny (for ebay) market that can bring down a bucket load of crap on them? Nazi swastika's on their pages? I don't think so. They are too big and iconic. Smaller websites serving niche markets are very happy homes for this stuff.

Ebay won the battle for the internet. Back in the early days, there were many. Yahoo had free auctions, and were competitive for selling. They started charging a nickel insertion fee and listings dropped. Ebay paid them off and they dropped out of the American market.

Your comment makes absolutely no sense. By your logic selling any piece of war memorabilia would be making a profit of the blood of "someone's" ancestor somewhere. Should I be offended at the guy that sells a Union buckle or Kepi because it "may" have been worn by someone who killed my great great grandfather during battle in the CW? Or is it the historical time frame that doesn't sit right with you? Too recent still? Or is it because the atrocities were committed against people of the Jewish faith (and anyone else who didn't agree with Hitler's world vision) that gets your goat? You seem to believe that all TR related items belong in a museum, and should never be sold for profit. I can only assume you lost many family members during Hitler's regime and that is why you are so passionate about this subject whenever it pops up on Treasurenet.

Too bad, a US Bund pin would be worth far more than that. This I would say about $80.
Anything associated with Bund is rare, and for a reason most folks would not guess - The Nazis themselves were none too fond of them for a variety of reasons, and issued a decree that no German nationals could be a member, and also forbid them using from using any Nazi emblems/symbols.
There were pins and such made before the decree, probably some after ,, But after war broke out it is safe to say that most members wanted to disassociate themselves from the now defunct group, and many members destroyed/threw away anything to do with the group.
So those are the reasons that Bund regalia is so rare, the demand is there and simply is not much out there. I got a pin similar to the one pictured in a large buy, I paid $500 for boxes full of various militaria. Found that gem, was obviously patterned after the NS design. The lettering was in English of course, and had "Made in Chicago" stamped on the reverse. Ended up selling it for $700.

I collect all kinds of militaria but concentrate on Imperial and TR German and USMC WW1/WW2 edged weapons.
Many folks assume that anyone who would collect anything from the evil Nazis must be a racist bigot. I think thats a pretty dumb attitude to take but it is what it is, to each their own.

BTW, once ebay catches you trying to sell a prohibited "offensive" item, they blacklist you and will screen any item you try to run again in that category - And if they catch you again, they will indeed restrict or even terminate your account.

No one said anything about erasing history. That was some idiotic conclusion that was falsely brought into this discussion.

There is a big difference between selling nazi memorabilia on ebay to unknown people with unknown motives vs having it in a holocaust remembrance or other museum, in a textbook, etc.

If you cant see the difference, then PLEASE do not bother to argue with me because you are wrong in my eyes and nothing you say will convince me otherwise.

It's people with your "ways of thinking" that are trying to take down and destroy our statues in New Orleans from General Lee to Andrew Jackson. It's a big deal right now.

What the hell is the matter with you people? NO ONE SAID ANYTHING ABOUT DESTROYING OR ERASING ANYTHING. I gave my opinion about buying/selling TR items and suddenly I want to erase history? Not a single one of you actually understood the actual point I was trying to make. Notice, I did not attempt to debate any of the "responses" I got. This is because no one refuted my actual argument. You all just gave your own opinion not related to the point I was attempting to make. DrMad actually gave an alternate opinion, which I respect, although I don't agree with it. Otherwise, it is as though we are all having 39 different conversations. Ok, I'm done with this one. That will teach me to express an opinion on here. Back to GS finds discussion for me for now on.
