So yard sale season is pretty much in "spring training" here in Ct. it's not in full swing but there's been a couple of ice breakers. So here's my plundered spoils for the day.

A sterling bowl and cuff bracelet that I bought at a new Salvation Army store that opened the other day. - $10.00. (3.25ozt & 0.59ozt). The only non-yard sale purchase today and I've already flipped them for $49.00.

Antique military board game from 1940's- $8.00
Antique brass push-up candlestick- $3.00

Box full of nice cuff links that included 3 pair of signed Mexico sterling, one Mexico sterling tie clip and....... 1 pair of 14k cuff links that I've already flipped for $126.00. All for $5.00!!

A box lot of vintage Marine pins that includes one 10k pin and one sterling pin- $4.00.

Set of 6 sterling and glass coasters-$5.00
Beautiful glass and sterling overlay dish-$3.00

Antique metal bank from the 1930's that had some loose change in it.-$10.00. (They didn't know how to open it!). How much change was in it you ask?.........$10 in quarters!!! [emoji23][emoji23]. I kid you not!
A great freakin day!! ☠ Happy hunting!!

Nice finds. I don't think the bank is from the 1930's though. It looks like the ones made by rocket usa. At least the two I own are newer ones.

Edit- I do notice three rivet marks on your though. Is the bottom marked? Maybe you do have an older one. A good little read about them... 3 coin register bank history: Uncle Sams 3 Coin Register Bank History

I researched the same site. It is the one from the 30's with the half dollar coin slot and the rolled bill hole both in the back. The bill hole has the raised edge and the printing on the back. It definitely from the 1930's. The pin-striping is pretty faded and has seen better days but I could easily tell it was pre WWII when I first picked it up. It works great too!

They were all clad quarters. ☹️ But it was 10 bucks worth! [emoji2] it paid for itself and I'll make more after I flip it. Although I'm kinda thinking of keeping it.

Congrats! Nice finds. I like the military board game, I'm a sucker for old board games. Does it have a name?

There's snow outside today here in Ohio ... feels like forever since I've been to a yard sale. *Sigh*

Thanks my fellow buckeye! I live here in Ct. but grew up in Piqua, Oh.! Small world! After I posted these finds, I did some research and discovered that the box is a vintage department store box full of parts and pieces to several games from the 1940's. A little of this and that. So unfortunately not a complete game but still a cool find. Not sure what to price it at for my next big yard sale myself. Paid $8 for it so maybe $10-15. If I make a couple bucks I'll be happy.

Sorry for the ramble! [emoji38]. We're in the middle of a major snow storm here. As you can see, there won't be any sales for at least a couple weeks! [emoji24]. 12-18" expected!!

Dang I remember when I thought that was a major snow storm! Before this year 2 inches of snow was crazy. Then we got 4 feet of snow in a few days in town and over 8 feet just north of us with that whole month being 2+ inches of snow a night. No clue why I go to school here! I don't like snow!
