What you call an ingot looks like a "button" that is the result of casting jewelry using the lost wax method. I would need to see a side view of the center and a shot of the other side. (it is basically a cast of the funnel that molten silver is poured into when casting rings) If it is a button it will either be sterling 925% or coin silver 90% or it could even be white gold or platinum. needs to be tested.

Did the seller say he made jewelry?
