I bought an old tin box at the Miles Hospital rummage sale today , I opened it and it had a tangled mess of fishing stuff in it . I mainly liked the unique box . So I bought it for $3.00 . I noticed the lure in a gnarly mess , spent 15 minuets unsnagging the lure .
It's a Heddon sway belly musky minnow in crackleback.

Here is one that sold on ebay -

Wow! Great score, even if unexpected.

Sweet! Unexpected finds are great. Hope it does at least as well as the last one and hopefully better. I have that same wood sample ruler somewhere, lol.

If yours is the same item you linked in your first post, any reason you didn't list yours the same way as the one that sold for so much? If its the same thing and you see one that sold really high, use the same auction title, list in the same categories, and the same starting price.

Yes , the one in the link was slightly different than mine . Mine has 2 red gills , the one in the link has 4 red gills . A minor difference like the that could mean everything . Maybe I should of sold the Heddon with the tackle box ?

Nice find. I'm always checking the old lures I come by. Out of the many I've seen, only one so far was one that had any real collector value. It was made by Heddon and it sold for over a hundred, but I can't recall what design it was, as it was back in the late 90s or early 2000s when I sold it.
