picked up this pot a few months back hought I'd post some pics and get some feedback.

Native American? Old?

I'd find someone who deals in antique native pottery to find out. It certainly looks good, but who knows what lengths people will go to "age" an item. It's just a guess, but it looks to me like it is from one of the pueblo tribes. Take that with a grain of salt, I really don't know squat about pottery.

I don't know any more than GibH but I'd add Acoma to Pueblo.

Looks good to me as well, but admittedly pottery is not my thing. I would have picked it up at a reasonable price if I had seen it though.

I agree with Gib, one of the Pueblo tribes, Zuni, Hopi, Acoma etc. Then again I have several "native" pieces I know nothing about myself, lol.

Definitely Pueblo, my dad has a collection of these various ages.

Acoma tends to be more black & white and geometric.

I'd guess Zuni, Zia, or Santo Domingo, and age would be older than 1960, and more functional than aesthetic, based on the limited designs and signs of use.

Definitely take it to someone with experience.

Not sure of the tribe but it appears to be authentic based on the lack of glazing, the the wearing on its design and especially the uneven rim. Great find!
