I hit a local church attic sale for their Haiti mission. I had never heard about this one but got there a half hour before open and here was the line.
The first thing I did was hit the boutique where the jewelry was. Earrings were priced $.50, necklaces $2 dollars and bracelet and watches were $1dollar. I immediately went through the watches and pulled out a Roamer, I then grabbed 2 Fossils a Nixon and a nice ladies Movado.
I then started digging through the Jewelry as fast as I could while gaggles of women swarmed me. I ended up with 14 g of 14 karat gold although a set of earrings is missing from the picture because my wife took them. I also got 140 g of sterling silver, including Sterling lapis cufflinks plus a nice 5 x 8 sterling silver frame with British hallmarks. (Not pictured)
And then went to an estate sale and didn't find much but I saw this pink fishing reel. I immediately knew it had to be rare and when I saw that it was a Lionel I decided to pull the trigger at six dollars. I did a quick look and the only one on eBay is listed for $500 but that one is in better condition but not working. Mine does. I think it's funny that it's called the Spinster. I can't wait to see what that one goes for.
