That's very cool! I'm going to say that the silver piece is a love token made from a coin. A beautiful piece of small Victorian furniture.

Totally agree with this statement. I would be trying to delicately take that silver off the stool and turn it over to see if I could identify what coin was used to make it. Hope to hear the answer on here soon.

Looks better than my cast iron one with tacky/ugly needlepoint. The love token makes it unique. A nice added touch. Neat little footstool.
