Went to an estate sale yesterday and wondered why no one was there. Seems they had it the week before too. Disappointed, I left.

While leaving, I saw a sign for another estate sale. I walked in and I was the only one there. They had a 3x6' table full of jewelry. I filled a small shopping bag with sterling and some gold (4g 14K ring, pendant below, and 14K & Diamond watch below). I chatted with the guy for about 40 minutes while looking through the jewelry. When I asked for a price, he said $40. I gave him a $100.

I then saw a set of 8 mid-century modern chair. Seller told me $10 each. Again, I have him another $100. They are Eric Buck chairs. There is a set of 6 listed on firstdibs for $3,400.

Finally, I did one last look over of the house and found a silverware set box. I opened it up and it was an incomplete set of Lunt's Sweetheart Rose sterling. The seller told me $50, again I gave him a $100. There was over 1000g of sterling in the silverware alone.

The crazy thing was I was there for over an hour and only a handful of people came in. I asked if they had listed it on craigslist and they said no. I was shocked and told them they needed to list it. I go to a lot of sales and this is the first time something like this has ever happened.

The pendant below is sterling (the loop), 14K (the setting), and what I believe is jade. I know I have seen that 'M' mark before. Does anyone know who it is?

Here is a diamond and 14K Hamilton Ladies watch. It works. Too bad the crystal has a small chip on top left hand side.

Also picked up a collection of 1960s concert post cards. Figure some of you old timers may appreciate these. :) Thanks for looking.

Awesome story and incredible finds! Those postcards are sometimes called handbills, and some can be worth a lot. I'll update my post if I can find the Internet page I used to research them last time I found a few. I was thrilled when I found four, so I am in awe of your finds!

Edit: Here is a good link for identifying the year, number, venue, and artists in each postcard designed by Bill Graham, which some of yours appear to be:

Holy wow! You may have found some precious metals, but I think the real goldmine is those handbills! if those are original, which they seem to be, I wouldn't let most of them go under $100 each. There are some very famous poster designs there. Amazing find!!

Thanks everyone and thank you SDIceMan for the link. 3 of the 27 are Bill Graham. The rest are The Family Dog productions which are also listed on the site you shared.

I looked up about 7 on eBay. A few like The Doors ones are listed for $100-$200, but there are no sold prices. Most of the other ones I saw were from $12-$20. These are definitely real. I bought them from the original owner. They all have her name and previous address on them.

I have a day job, thr ee young kids, and I don't have much time. A dealer offered me $300. I was planning on taking it, but will do a bit more research before making a final decision. Will update thread if I find anything interesting.

This is what I like best about this hobby. You are just always learning something new.

That site was great. Here is a list of all postcards along with asking price. The prices listed are all for "near mint" post cards. One thing I like about metal is condition doesn't matter so much. Might dig into a bit more the couple that are sold out.

I really like these and they would look great framed. However, I just like too much stuff.
