Don't know anything about the value but it is probably illegal to possess in the People's Republic of Connecticut... it might offend atheists or others.

That sucker is huge!!! I like it. I usually take free too, even if I just make a few bucks off of it.

Same. It's not often you find cash laying on the ground free for the taking.

If true, then I do not want it, since I live in the People's Republic of Connecticut.

Looked under sold section on Ebay, was a Santa poster same size by same company, asked for $800 and took an offer...think the fact company was short lived might have added value..taking pics tomorrow and will be Ebaying, think Id be foolish if not asking a premium for it,can always ask for less down the road.

Bottom right hand corner, is that the artists name who did the original maybe? If so, you could find info out on the name as well...adds to the description.

Just doing a bit of tidying up on some older threads, mainly for the benefit of anyone searching the site for information.

Interesting poster. It’s from the Philipp Lithographing Company of Wisconsin and from the 1950s or early 1960s. They used a number of skilled commercial artists including Al Moore and John Vickery to produce large Christmas and Nativity scenes. Assuming it’s an original, these are typically offered for around $150-200. Here’s one on fleabay:

These were produced for domestic wall or door-hanging as festive decoration and also for advertising purposes. Sears Roebuck used them and so did the Douglas Fir plywood company, who affixed them to the fronts of plywood panels as a sales inducement.
