I bought a new in package Sony discman for $6. The old school CD players. Put it on line and sold it that night for $150. Some go for hundreds. Just an FYI.

I pulled yellow walkman with head phones and case out of a flea market anything for $1 pile. It was in excellent condition and I think I got around $45 for it.

Good info and I'm sure I've totally disregarded something like that before. I'm always going with the look for and buy what you like rule, but I do know one could survive quite well looking for anything you could make a buck on these days. Knowledge is definitely key.
