Friend of ours bought a house and there’s over 1000 pieces of glass inside of it. All different colors and shapes and sizes. I’ve been looking up some of it but not having much luck. I wanted to add some photos up here to see if any of the stuff you guys not have any value or if it’s just Goodwill quality. Some of it’s taller than a bottle of wine. Different colors, different designs. Any help at all would be appreciated. I’m not even sure really what to look up. As for now these are just photos from the first room. There’s six more rooms that are loaded but we’re starting in this room.

Definitely a hoar of glass. Seems to be a fair amount of money sitting there.

Some nice carnival glass there. Looks like good money for someone willing to invest some time into research. Good luck!

If it were me, I’d pass on it. Around here in my area, you can’t give most of that stuff away. It’s a shame but that’s just how it is. It’s beautiful glass too! Here’s a thought though. Do a one time glass auction. Let the dealers/collectors bid over the good pieces and sell the rest in lots. A good quick way to make some $ and move an enormous amount of inventory real fast without sitting on it for too long. Just a thought.

I don't see anything really valuable that jumps out at me. Everything looks to be fairly common low dollar stuff. Many $5-$10 pieces. A few $20-$30 pieces. When it comes to glass it's all about colors, patterns and the pieces themselves. Sometimes the most common piece could be worth good money if it's a rare color and vice versa. Or sometimes apiece is just rare altogether. Take for instance this mundane looking L.E.Smith Moon & Stars green Fairy lamp that sold for $402.00- https://www.ebay.com/itm/L-E-Smith-...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
Would you have bought this at a sale if you seen it?

The best (or my favorites) piece I see is the Tangerine (amberina) Blenko bottle with the crystal air twist stopper.Other decent pieces are the Viking Glass Amberina Decanter in the Yesteryear pattern, the L.E. Smith Amberina Moon & Stars Cake stand and the two hens, though I can't tell the color or maker on them.

I don't think he's trying to purchase it all. I think he's just trying to help a friend out maybe? She bought a house and it's full of glass. Glass is a big hit or miss. Just like anything else, you have to be well versed and know what you're looking at. The vast majority of it is flea market or garage sale material. I wouldn't give it away. But that's just me. I'm poor.

PS- That Blenko piece vase could be worth $200-$300. I could ID it if I had the dimensions and a straight on photo to show the correct shape.

Many collectors of Carnival Glass collect pieces by pattern over color. My mother collected Miss America pattern so she was always looking for Miss America regardless of color.
Separate the pieces by pattern and sell in lots; Miss America lot, hobnail lot, etc.

Unless I'm missing something, I see 4 or 5 pieces of carnival glass there. It looks like Imperial or Indiana Marigold. I do see another possible piece of Blenko or two in there also. I think the piece I was talking about earlier is only about a $100 piece maybe. It's Blenko #6741. There is one on eBay right now for a couple hundred. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Blenko-Joe...464042?hash=item33d8abb62a:g:K5EAAOSw9-FZ4n~u

I found a halfway decent piece of Blenko myself over the weekend. I already listed it at auction. If it doesn't sell, the price doubles and it goes to BIN. https://www.ebay.com/itm/273197677120

So here’s what we decided to do. The owner can’t move it he’s in the hospital. His wife doesn’t want to move it so friend of mine is helping out. the owner is paying for an antique booth and we can price the stuff it at whatever we want and we get 60% of whatever it sells for. Took in probably 200 pieces today did not sell it all but made $125 in sales. One guy said this thing sells for $18. And he bought all three of mine at six dollars apiece. Good luck sir!

The family wants the stuff gone. I will probably add a couple more pieces to here as I get through it all. But a lot of it’s going to go for 20 or $30 or $5 or one dollar. Let somebody else deal with it. Fast cash. I figure if we sold everything in this house for a dollar apiece we would make at least $15,000. And to be honest I need the exercise so why not get some money too. It is a Lotta work. And I have to get my friend $ for helping as well. I figure this will help me decide if I want to run a booth like this after everything sold. Or just be gone.

My mother had a red canister like the 7th pic down. As I recall she had a full set that she kept sugar, flour, salt etc in. Congrats on the find.

Where’s the booth?

Inside of Wildwood Antique Mall. They’re opening on 41. 25,000 square-foot antique mall. They have seven other locations across the state of Florida. I don’t know if you’ve been there not yet but it’s across the street from Best Buy and Toys “R” Us right next-door to Sam’s Club

They have not even had their grand opening yet. If you want some good deals stop on over cause I i’m letting the stuff cheap. I have some better stuff going up tomorrow that I’m going to put around $20-$30 apiece but most of it’s a couple dollars. I’ll be over there probably all day tomorrow up until 3 o’clock

I found this one. They’re asking 80 for it on eBay. Viking brand. People wanted to rip it out of my hand at the store. It will be priced at $65 tomorrow

I've always liked amberina, probably because it reminds me of a tequila sunrise.

Arrrg... I see a bad dream.

I gave up glass and pottery years ago when the market tanked.

I buy ZERO glass unless its hand blown or old PYREX.

Hate it with a passion.

Pottery as well...

Shawnee... McCoy... Majolica... all dead to me... I don't even picj it up at a sale.

Was at a sale this weekend and lady had a huge set of Wedgewood... in perfect condition... was late in morning... was still there and waiting for a buyer... NOT me either.

Last time I sold any real glass was a 400 piece of Nyman... for 100... NINE YEARS AGO. heh
