Went to an estate sale this morning. Went through the house for a while. Didn’t find much, as the prices were close to retail for most things.
There were a couple fox skins for $75 each that I might go back Sunday for. Everything is 50% off then.

But I went to the main table where the checkout was, and there was some brooch’s and pins. I didn’t expect to find anything since it was pretty crowded and people had picked over the small table. But I thought I’d check it anyway.
I’m glad I did.
Found 2 sterling pins. Both had very tiny markings. So I guess I could understand why they missed them.

Ended up paying $2 for the queen nefertiti pin.
This is a listing I found on eBay of the same kind

The other is a floral pin marked with what looks like an eagle head, as well as “916”.
From my research it seems like a Russian silver mark. But I’m not 100% certain.

I also bought a box of Christian books for 12$.
1 is from 1853. A Charles Wesley book.

Overall, I was really pleased with the day.

Nothing like great estate finds. There is something about getting one over on a "pro" :)
