Hi friends, I took another vacation day to hit some comm sales. Prior to going to the first one, I had seen one sale close to my house on CL. The gentleman had advertized watches, and so I knew I had to be the first one there. The sale started at 7 am, but I was there by 630. The gentleman was very welcoming. I bought two bags of jewelry and watches, and help him authenticate some artwork. Once I got home I found these two nice watches, a Lucien Piccard diver(missing bezel), and this lovely little Rado. The community sales were a bust. :) Please let me know your thoughts, and possibly help me in obtaini g a little more info on the Lucien. Thank you very much.

It looks to be a 1960s diver. Probably a generic Swiss movement but a nice one. It will be almost impossible to find an original bezel But I would think a replacement one could be found by a good watch maker with some inventory. Lucien Picard looks to be a1980’s quartz. Try polishing the crystal on the driver and I bet you it will look a whole lot better. If it’s plastic I use 800 grit sandpaper to sand it down then I use a Dremel power tool with a buffing attachment To polish out that minor scratches
