Thank you so much. I was way off, as always! I sincerely and truly appreciate it. It's an oil on canvas. Based on the vintage smell of the frame, and side matting, I put it around the 60s. Since the artist died in 1937, I believe that mine is a very well made replica. All the best.

I’d have it checked out. It just doesn’t seem to mean something that would’ve been copied. Based on other things I’ve seen online free matches what would’ve been on is work.

I agree with JimDon. It may well be "after" Maurice Joron, but you need an expert opinion. The stretcher is European and looks like it may be old enough, while the canvas does not look over 80 years old to me, it might be.

Thank you both. I appreciate it. I will have it authenticated. There is a restorer here in Orlando, and they also do appraisals/authentications. I will let you know. Thanks again as always for the feedback.

I found his signature, courtesy of "findartinfo.com". I also took a closer look with my loupe, and I found multiple signs of crackling paint, possibly indicative of age.

look at wood aging, the cells shrink and as they shrink the grain stands up in ridges and it is very hard to fool the look.
