Hit a comm sale at 7am, by 8am people started to arrive, felt really odd having a comm all for yourself. I was able to score a little gold, lots of silver, a Tiffany bracelet, Hamilton pocket wat h, and a Bulova from 1992 with a Swiss movement (Voljoux 7750). I went to two communities, but this was it. Does anyone know that silver mark on the liquid silver necklace and earrings? Thanks to all in advance.

Killer scores. That Bulova chronograph is probably worth $800. Welll done.

Nice haul. For there to be any prospect of identifying the silver mark on the necklace and earrings, you need to show it in close-up and in focus.

Thanks a lot. I paid $5 for it. It was in a box with other watches. I got lucky. :-)

That’s a vintage Southwestern (Navajo) workshop mark, not attributed to any artisan in particular. Not to be confused with a very similar ‘rising sun’ mark used by Asahi Shoten of Tokyo, Japan. Liquid silver necklaces like yours and with that same mark are also commonly seen with turquoise beads and mounted stones consistent in style with Southwestern jewellery and definitely not Japanese.

Geez artslinger, you sure find some awesome vintage timepieces. Looks like yard sales is the place I should be putting more of my time on.

Thank you. I do put a lot of time and effort. I really do enjoy the hunt more than anything! Of all my watch scores, this was the only one that I did not have to ask the owner if they had any watches. This was waiting for me in a little both with other watches. Good thing there was no one around. :-)

Congrats! Great finds...being the first and the only one at a good sale is a great feeling.
