The place I water hunted was very mineralized. I mostly hunted with 4 out of 8 bars for sensitivity, often ground balancing. Any increase in sensitivity would make the machine too chatty. I hunted in zero disc. mode, with iron audio set at 33. The small toe ring gave a VDI of about 70, and the other ring was about 54.
