If the area you are searching is heavily trashed, I recommend the DD Snake coil. I have both the Snake and Sharpshooter and like both but the smaller footprint of the Snake would be better suited to picking out targets in lots of trash.

Just so you know, I have not converted over to the Equinox. It seems to have good reviews but between my AT Pro and Deus, I am more than happy with the amount of relics & coins I am finding. :tongue3:

Thank you all for the feedback, I really appreciate it. I was starting to lose hope :-P It looks like I'll be purchasing the NEL Snake coil :-)

Is the NEL snake coil same thing as the 5x8?

I have both the snake and the sharpshooter and the 5x8. I sold my sharpshooter and now I'm thinking of ditching the snake as well. The 5 x 8 in my ground does as good with separation than the snake but I seem to get more accurate vdi readings with the Garrett coil over the Nel.

That being said I think the Nel storm coil is probably the best investment I've made since getting my pro a few years ago.

I like my 5 x 8. Can't comment on the snake.
