For salt water beaches and wet sand the Sea Hunter will work fine but it basically has no discrimination and you’ll have to dig every target. It will work in fields and woods as well but again, you’ll have to dig it all. A silver quarter will sound the same as a square nail. Sea Hunter is great for the salt water surf but in the field or woods you’ll be going mad not being able to hear different sounds from different targets. The Equinox would fit the bill more for both of what you’re looking for but if I had to rely on one or the other for water hunting only, it would be the Sea Hunter.

I am in no way a Nox person, But I would highly recommend it. You want something versitile for the beach and rivers.

Just my opinion as a beach hunter.
