I don't dig very often at all. I use my ProPointer to locate my targets then pop them out with a screwdriver. Few holes, no problems with landowners and lots of targets found per hour. Most of the rings are in the top 3-4 inches. I don't want a deep seeking machine for rings....only one with a good audio in the upper section of the soil profile. The Scorp works well here.
