Garrett Ace 350 (Brand New) Won't Shutup!

Hello All,

I just received my Garrett Ace 350. I paid for overnight shipping because I wanted it so badly. The thing will not be quiet.... It goes off on everything! Even holding it in the air. I tried it on grass, sand, mulch, and dirt. All the same. Its unusable... I'm so disappointed.

I tried removing the batteries, tightening the cable, etc. The only thing that made it shutup was putting the sensitivity at 1. And I don't think that even worked 100%.

Am I doing something wrong? Is it a bad model? I'm sending it back to Amazon tomorrow.

Drive to a couple of different places to make sure your not getting some kind of interference. If it's the same in different places, send it back. You should be able to run at least 4 bars of sens. You may have already tried this......hold the power button in until you hear a double beep, this resets the machine to factory default and clears up problems sometimes.

That was my issue... Garrett is sending me a replacement
